The 56th Grammys

*I own none of the photos I used*
The music event we've all be waiting for! The Grammys!

There's been rumors flying around that Queen B is opening up the show with her hubby, Jay-Z. I'm wondering if they'll be performing her new smash single "Drunk in Love". Either way I'm excited and I know she's going to SLAY.

It's even been said that Madonna is going to be performing!

Kendrick Lamar, Imagine Dragons, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Mackelmore & Ryan Lewis, and Lorde are only a few to name from the big list of performers this year.

Jay-Z has earned the most Grammy nominations this year with nine!
Mackelmore & Ryan Lewis, Justin Timberlake, Kendrick Lamar, and Pharrell Williams all come in close second with seven nominations.

My Predictions
Record of The Year - "Radioactive", Imagine Dragons
Album of The Year - "Good Kid, M.A.A.D City, Kendrick Lamar
Song of The Year - "Locked Out Of Heaven", Bruno Mars
Best New Artist - Kendrick Lamar

Artists Who Got SNUBBED
Ariana Grande for Best New Artist - Don't let the sweet face fool you, this girl has CRAZY vocals and her album "Yours Truly" was one of the best of 2013.

J.Cole "Born Sinner" for Best Rap Album - If his singles "Power Trip" and "Crooked Smile" weren't enough, every song on that album he spits straight fire. Lyricist!

Justin Timberlake "The 20/20 Experience" for Album of The Year - 4 words. Platinum in a week.

Notice how I didn't mention Miley Cyrus. Only TALENT was mentioned.

Anyways, I hope this year will be a good show! I'll definitely be tuning in tomorrow, January 26, 2014, at 8/9 c. (:

Who To Look Out For: Lupita Nyong'o

*I own none of the photos I used*
Lupita Nyong'o is a rising and upcoming actress. She is 30 years old and was born in Mexico, but her parents are Kenyan. She was raised in Kenya, but came to the US for university where she attended Hampshire College. After graduating, she went back to Kenya where she starred in the television series "Shuga". She even wrote, directed, and produced a documentary called "In My Genes" which was about the treatment for albinos in Kenya. She later on went back to America and enrolled in Yale School of Drama. Shockingly right after, she was casted in the critically acclaimed "12 Years a Slave"!

The film stars Chiwetel Ejiofor who plays Solomon Northrup, a free slave who was sold back into slavery.

She was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress even though she didn't win. She has won the Critics' Choice Movie Award and the Screen Actor's Guild Award which are only to list a few. She has been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. I'm crossing my fingers that she wins!

I recently watched "12 Years a Slave" and she was phenomenal! The movie was so emotional.

I love Lupita because she's humble, intelligent, well-spoken, and just plain beautiful! I see very big things for her in the future, watch out!

Flicks I'm Looking Forward to in 2014!

That Awkward Moment - January 31, Rated R
Starring: Zac Efron, Miles Teller, and Michael B. Jordan

*I own none of the photos I used*

"Awkward" is my middle name so I feel I'm going to be able to relate to this movie. I'm a sucker for a romantic comedy. I've seen the promos for this movie and it seems like it's going to be hilarious. On top of that we have a whole lot of eye candy in this film, yesss ladies! It seems like Miles Teller is in big movies these days(The Spectacular Now, Divergent). I've been loving Michael B. Jordan since Friday Night Lights and he also starred in "The Wire" with hottie Idris Elba. *drools* He also recently starred in "Fruitvale Station" which is a great movie and a tearjerker, if you haven't seen it yet you're slacking.
And, we all love Zac. He'll forever remain Troy Bolton. Can't wait to check this movie out!

Vampire Academy- February 7, Rated PG-13
Starring: Zoey Deutch, Lucy Fry, and Danila Kozlovsky

I'm obsessed with "The Vampire Diaries" and I loved the Twilight series, so anything with vampires and teens is always entertaining. It's based on Richelle Mead's best selling novel, "Vampire Academy". The director of this movie, Mark Waters, directed one of best chick flicks of all time "Mean Girls"! So, I can sense this movie will be funny. And, the actresses are hawt so that's a plus.

Divergent - March 21, Rated PG-13
Starring: Shailene Woodley, Theo James

Move over "Hunger Games"! This movie is based off of the novel "Divergent" by Veronica Roth. So, when I read the book I literally couldn't put it down. Literally, not figuratively. One of the best books I've read! I really hope the movie lives up to the book. Honestly when I found out that Shailene Woodley was playing the main character, Beatrice Prior, I was like "...the fu*!" But, who knows she might surprise me. Either way this movie is going to blow up the box office.

The Fault In Our Stars - June 6, Rated PG-13
Starring: Shailene Woodley, Ansel Elgort

Shailene is in everything, get that check honey! This movie is based on the New York Times #1 Best Seller "The Fault In Our Stars" by John Green. I loveeeee John Green. This book is probably one of the cutest books I've ever read. It's funny because in "Divergent" they play brother and sister, but then in this movie their lovers. Ansel Elgort is a cutie and his name is fun to say. Anyways, I have to wait until the summer to see this movie. *tear*

I can't wait for these movies!

The Fosters - Season 1 Episode 11 (*Spoilers*)

*I own none of the photos I used*
So can we talk about how intense The Foster's Winter Premiere was?! We've been dying for The Fosters to return to ABC Family and January 13th was the big day.

The last scene we saw in the last episode's cliffhanger was Callie running away with Wyatt. While the Foster household is thinking that Callie is at guitar practice, Callie expresses her worries to Wyatt. After the "forbidden" kiss that her and Brandon shared, she feels that she no longer can stay at the house(Even though she was just about to get adopted!). She feels that Jude is "better off without her". Wyatt eventually calls Stef and Lena, who have been worried sick, and they immediately show up at the hotel that Callie and Wyatt were staying at. We all know how alert Callie is, as soon as she saw them she disappeared...again.

She finds herself in an unknown town where she is alone and has no idea where to turn to.

While this is going on, Mariana and Jesus find out that Lexi is moving to Honduras for good. Jesus and Lexi spend their last hours together and Jesus tells her that he'll wait for her.(How romantic!)

The episode ends with Callie finding out that her father has been out of jail for a year! I wonder what he's been up to and if we'll be seeing him in an upcoming episode? The hungry and fatigued Callie finds herself in a convenience store and eats a chocolate bar without pay which causes the store clerk to call the police. And, Callie's already on probation! Hopefully Callie's going to be alright.

We can't wait for next Monday's episode on ABC Family at 9/8c.

Stay tuned. (:
